  1. HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN PHOTOGRAPHING?

I got my first camera, an old-school polaroid, when I was 9 years old. I’ve introduced some more advanced equipment into my kit since then, but that instant camera still gets its airtime all these years later.

  2. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

It really depends on our concept and location. Generally, I recommend avoiding bold or tight patterns, clothing that matches your skin tone closely, clothes with logos, and shiny athletic materials.

When in doubt, earth tones are a good bet.

  3. DO YOU TRAVEL?

Yes! I’m down to make the trip just about anywhere. Unless I’m in your area, travel fees apply.

  4. DO YOU RETOUCH PHOTOS?

Editing is half of the process, and thoughtful shifts in color, tone, and texture can make images come alive. I want to document you authentically, so I typically won’t retouch your body or your features. My rule of thumb is this: if it was a part of you a few weeks ago and will be a few weeks from now, I’m leaving it as is. For example, I won’t retouch your freckles, but if you have a bit of a sunburn I can help you look more like your usual self.

  5. CAN I BRING SOMEONE?

Yes! Just me know if I should expect a guest.

  6. DO YOU WORK WITH SWers?

Absolutely. You’re welcome to use the images we make together for your OF, Twitter, Patreon, etc.

  7. SHOULD I COME UP WITH MY OWN CONCEPT?

If you’ve got a concept, even a vague one, I’d love to hear it. If not, we can build off of anything you’re inspired by- films you love, an energy you want to embody, your mood board, or just your favorite colors. Let’s collab.

  8. WHAT IF I’M NERVOUS?

I really and completely get that. Most people feel at least a little nervous. As much as I love photographing, I can have a hard time on the other side of the lens, too. We’ll work together to find a pace and approach that helps you feel your best. Some photos and poses will work beautifully, and some won’t be quite right. That’s just part of the process. And, you’ll never have to see anything but the final product. So let’s play! There’s nothing to lose.

  9. ARE YOU A FULL-TIME PHOTOGRAPHER?

I love this work, but there’s so much else I like to give energy to. I’m a licensed therapist, educator, community organizer, and a taurus who likes to make complicated snacks.
